Why is sleep so important?

Lying awake worrying, tossing and turning and waking up regularly during the night can all disturb your natural sleep rhythm. Long-term sleep deprivation can have a serious negative effect on your daily life. During the daytime, we put our bodies through a considerable amount of physical and mental stress; we need to recover from this.

Getting a good night’s sleep ensures that you begin the new day feeling well-rested. You will have more energy, a better metabolism, lower stress levels and fewer sugar cravings as well as simply feeling better about yourself.

Symptoms of a sleeping problem

Everyone finds it hard to sleep now and again. Do you have difficulty sleeping more than three times a week? If the answer is yes, and if it has been going on for longer than three months, then you may have a sleeping problem.
