Common treatments

Our psychologists in Nijmegen use various treatment methods, like ACT, EMDR and imagination and rescripting. Annelieke van Zelst-Achterberg has a lot of experience with symptoms such as anxiety, burn-out and negative self-image. ACT is used as a form of treatment ror symptoms such as anxiety and burn-out.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

During Acceptance and Commitment Therapy you develop resilience and learn to better deal with setbacks. In ACT there is no fixed treatment protocol that is followed. The treatment is matched to your needs. The psychologist asks you questions to find out what the problem is, where you are stuck and where you would like to go in your life. This is the main focus.

Referral and health insurance

You can come to iPractice for insured care for psychological symptoms. If you have a referral letter from the doctor, our treatments are reimbursed by the basic insurance.

Health insurers reimburse 100% of our care, except for Achmea and ENO. These health insurers reimburse a part of our care. The psychologist clearly discusses the care we provide at the beginning of the treatment program. This gives you insight into the costs.

Please call us if you have any questions about this. We are happy to look into it together with you.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I park my car?

You can park your car near our practice.

How does wire work? What can I expect?

Wire is a secure platform used to document the progress of your treatment. It is also used for your weekly sessions with the online psychologist. You can easily contact us if you have questions or when you encounter something. You can do this via chat or video call. Our online psychologist is there for you and also does a check-in when you do not have a physical consultation with the consultation room psychologist.

How do the online and offline sessions work

To make our care as accessible and effective as possible, we use Blended Care. Blended Care means that you always work in a team with a consultation room psychologist for in-depth discussions and an online psychologist for approachable contact and support. This is how we offer high-quality psychological care, without long waiting times.
