As an online psychologist, Julia will support you in putting learnings from therapy into practice in your daily life. She uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness, in which the themes of reflection, autonomy and resilience are central. Julia finds it important to listen without prejudice so that a trusted and safe treatment relationship is established. She provides online treatment in Dutch and English.
Julia studied Clinical Developmental Psychology at the VU in Amsterdam. During her studies she gained experience in various child psychology practices and she worked as a counselor with people with a (mental) disability. She graduated from the Genderpoli of the Amsterdam UMC where she started working as a psychologist after her studies. Julia also has experience as a screening psychologist at the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
