Marianne is a consultation room psychologist at iPractice. The basis of her treatments start with an equal, open and sincere contact. In her conversations, she finds it important to investigate underlying thinking and behavioral patterns and emotions together with the client, which play a role in the development and/or persistence of mental health issues. In addition, she focuses on learning and strengthening (new) skills, such as dealing with unpleasant thoughts or emotions, setting boundaries for a better balance or (re)discovering one’s own values and being able to make choices from there.
Marianne uses aspects from different treatment methods, such as CBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, Voice Dialogue. Marianne was trained as a psychologist at the University of Groningen (2010). She has more than 10 years of experience in treating people with chronic physical and mental health issues.
Marianne speaks Dutch.
